तस्य तद् वचन श्रुत्वा किरातस्यार्जुनस्तदा । रोषमाहारयामास ताडयामास चेषुभि:,किरातकी वह बात सुनकर उस समय अर्जुनको बड़ा क्रोध हुआ। उन्होंने बाणोंसे उसपर प्रहार आरम्भ किया
tasya tad vacanaṃ śrutvā kirātasya arjunas tadā | roṣam āhārayāmāsa tāḍayāmāsa ceṣubhiḥ ||
ਕਿਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਦਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਭੜਕ ਉਠਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੋਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਮੇਟ ਕੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਕਰਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
