Dharma-śaṅkā-nivāraṇa: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Response on Karma-Phala and Trust in Dharma

हि () हल मय द्वात्रिशोड्थ्याय: द्रौोपदीका पुरुषार्थको प्रधान मानकर पुरुषार्थ करनेके लिये जोर देना द्रौपहुुवाच नावमन्ये न गहें च धर्म पार्थ कथंचन । ईश्वरं कुत एवाहमवमंस्ये प्रजापतिम्‌,द्रौपदी बोली--कुन्तीनन्दन! मैं धर्मकी अवहेलना तथा निन्दा किसी प्रकार नहीं कर सकती। फिर समस्त प्रजाओंका पालन करनेवाले परमेश्वरकी अवहेलना तो कर ही कैसे सकती हूँ

Draupady uvāca: nāvamanye na gahe ca dharmaṃ pārtha kathaṃcana | īśvaraṃ kuta evāham avamaṃsye prajāpatiṃ ||

ਦ੍ਰੌਪਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ—ਹੇ ਪਾਰਥ! ਮੈਂ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਅਵਹੇਲਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ। ਫਿਰ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਪਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹਾਂ?
