क्रुद्धों हि कार्य सुश्रोेणि न यथावत् प्रपश्यति । नाकार्य न च मर्यादां नर: क्रुद्धोडनुपश्यति,सुन्दरी! क्रोधी मनुष्य किसी कार्यको ठीक-ठीक नहीं समझ पाता। वह यह भी नहीं जानता कि मर्यादा क्या है (अर्थात् क्या करना चाहिये) और क्या नहीं करना चाहिये
kruddho hi kāryaṃ suśroṇi na yathāvat prapaśyati | nākāryaṃ na ca maryādāṃ naraḥ kruddho'nupaśyati, sundarī |
ਹੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਟਿ ਵਾਲੀ! ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰਿਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ-ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਦਾ। ਉਹ ਨਾ ਇਹ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ, ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ (ਉਚਿਤ ਆਚਰਨ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ) ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
