स तु सम्पूजितस्तेन सह मातृगणेन ह । परिवार्य महासेनं रक्षमाण: स्थित: शिव:,कुमार महासेनके द्वारा पूजित हो मंगलकारी अग्निदेव मातृकागणोंके साथ उन्हें घेरकर खड़े हो गये और उनकी रक्षा करने लगे
sa tu sampūjitastena saha mātṛgaṇena ha | parivārya mahāsenaṃ rakṣamāṇaḥ sthitaḥ śivaḥ ||
ਮਾਰਕੰਡੇਯ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਉਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੂਜਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਮਾਤ੍ਰਿਕਾ-ਗਣਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਮਹਾਸੇਨ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
