भद्रवटगमनम् — स्कन्देन महिषदानवनिग्रहः
Bhadravaṭa Procession and Skanda’s Neutralization of Mahiṣa
बहिर्वेद्यां तदादानं कुशलै: सम्प्रवर्तितम् । तदेते नोपसर्पन्ति यत्र चाग्नि: स्थितो भवेत्
bahirvedyāṁ tadādānaṁ kuśalaiḥ sampravartitam | tad ete nopasarpanti yatra cāgniḥ sthito bhavet ||
ਮਾਰਕੰਡੇਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯੱਗ-ਕਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਭਾਗ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਚਲਾਈ ਹੈ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅੱਗ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਵਿਨਾਇਕ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ।
