satyaṃ saṃkṣipyate loke naraiḥ paṇḍitamānibhiḥ | sthavirā bālamatayo bālāḥ sthavirabuddhayaḥ ||
ਮਾਰਕੰਡੇਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਕੋੜ ਕੇ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਬੁਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਵਰਗੀ ਸਮਝ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
