गौतम उवाच जानामि नाहं मुहयामि त्वमेवात्र विमुहते । स्तौषि त्वं दर्शनप्रेप्सू राजानं जनसंसदि,गौतम बोले--मैं नहीं मोहमें पड़ा हूँ, तुम्हीं यहाँ आकर मोहित हो रहे हो। मैं खूब समझता हूँ, तुम राजासे मिलनेकी इच्छा लेकर ही भरी सभामें स्वार्थवश उनकी स्तुति कर रहे हो
Gautama uvāca: jānāmi nāhaṁ muhyāmi tvam evātra vimuhyase | stauṣi tvaṁ darśana-prepsū rājānaṁ jana-saṁsadi ||
ਗੌਤਮ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—“ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਮੈਂ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ। ਇੱਥੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਭਟਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ। ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਲੋਕ-ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵਾਰਥ ਲਈ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।”
