The Slaying of Yavakrīta at Raibhya’s Hermitage
स वै प्रविशमानस्तु शूद्रेणान्धेन रक्षिणा । निगृहीतो बलाद् द्वारि सोडवातिष्ठत पार्थिव,राजन्! उस समय अमग्निहोत्रगृहके अंदर एक शूद्र-जातीय रक्षक नियुक्त था, जिसकी दोनों आँखें अंधी थीं। उसने दरवाजेके भीतर घुसते ही यवक्रीतको बलपूर्वक पकड़ लिया और यवक्रीत वहीं खड़ा हो गया
sa vai praviśamānas tu śūdreṇāndhena rakṣiṇā | nigṛhīto balād dvāri so ’vātiṣṭhata pārthiva rājan ||
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਤਦ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੂਦ੍ਰ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਪੂਰਵਕ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਯਵਕ੍ਰੀਤ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਖੜਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ।
