हा हता: स्मेति वाशन्त्यस्तीव्रशोकसमाहता: । रुदन्त्य: करुणं वापि गृहीत्वा दक्षिणे करे

hā hatāḥ smeti vāśantyastīvrāśokasamāhatāḥ | rudantyaḥ karuṇaṃ vāpi gṛhītvā dakṣiṇe kare

ਤੀਖੇ ਸੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਟੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਕ ਪਈਆਂ— “ਹਾਇ! ਅਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ!” ਅਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਂਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਫੜੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
