'प्रजजलित अग्निके समान इस प्रचण्ड क्रोधको हृदयमें रखकर प्रतीक्षा करते मुझे तेरह वर्ष बीत गये हैं ।। विदीर्यते मे हृदयं भीमवाक्छल्यपीडितम्‌ । योडयमद्य महाबाहुर्धर्ममेवानुपश्यति

prajvalitāgnike samānaṃ pracaṇḍaṃ krodhaṃ hṛdaye nidhāya pratīkṣamāṇasya mama trayodaśa varṣāṇi vyatītāni || vidīryate me hṛdayaṃ bhīmavākśalyapīḍitam | yo ’yam adya mahābāhur dharmam evānupaśyati ||

ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਭੜਕਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਰਗਾ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇਰਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ। ਭੀਮ ਦੇ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਚੀਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ; ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਮਹਾਬਾਹੁ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਧਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
