Transliteration

pitāmahaṃ śāntanavaṃ dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ ca saṃjaya | droṇaṃ kṛpaṃ ca karṇaṃ ca mahārājaṃ ca bāhvīkam ||

Translation

ਹੇ ਸੰਜਯ! ਸ਼ਾਂਤਨੁਨੰਦਨ ਪਿਤਾਮਹ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ, ਰਾਜਾ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ, ਆਚਾਰਯ ਦ੍ਰੋਣ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਚਾਰਯ, ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਬਾਹਲੀਕ—ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਓਰੋਂ ਯਥੋਚਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੈਰ-ਖ਼ਬਰ ਪੁੱਛੀਂ।
