उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय ५ (कृष्णनीति: न्यायशम-उपदेशः; विराट-द्रुपदयोः सैन्यसमाह्वानम्)
समाकुला मही राजन् कुरुपाण्डवकारणात् | तदा समभवत् कृत्स्ना सम्प्रयाणे महीक्षिताम्
samākulā mahī rājan kurupāṇḍavakāraṇāt | tadā samabhavat kṛtsnā samprayāṇe mahīkṣitām ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਕੁਰੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੈਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਥਲ-ਪੁਥਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੂਚ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਮਾਨੋ ਇਕੋ ਬੇਚੈਨ ਚਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਐਸਾ ਦਿੱਸਿਆ।
