शस्त्राणि गात्रे न च ते क्रमेर- न्रित्येव कृष्णश्ष॒ ततः कृतार्थ: | एवंरूपे वासुदेवे<प्रमेये महाबले गुणसम्पत् सदैव
śastrāṇi gātre na ca te krameran nṛtyeva kṛṣṇaḥ tataḥ kṛtārthaḥ | evaṃrūpe vāsudeve ’prameye mahābale guṇasampat sadaiva ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ-ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ; ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੱਚਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੀ ਵਿਚਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ— “ਕੇਸ਼ਵ! ਯੁੱਧ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਥਕਾਵਟ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ; ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤੀ ਅਪ੍ਰਤਿਹਤ ਰਹੇ; ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ-ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਦਾ ਘਾਅ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੇ।” ਇਹ ਵਰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਾਰਥ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਐਸੇ ਅਪ੍ਰਮੇਯ ਮਹਾਬਲੀ ਵਾਸੁਦੇਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਗੁਣ-ਸੰਪਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ।
