उद्धर्तयन् दस्युसड्घान् समेतान् प्रवर्तयन् युगमन्यद् युगान्ते । यदा थक्ष्याम्यग्निवत् कौरवेयां- स्तदा तप्ता धृतराष्ट्र: सपुत्र:
sañjaya uvāca |
uddhartayan dasyu-saṅghān sametān pravartayan yugam anyad yugānte |
yadā thakṣyāmy agnivat kauraveyāṁs tadā taptā dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ sa-putraḥ ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਗ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਯੂ-ਟੋਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਯੁਗਾਂਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਯੁਗ ਚਲਾ ਦਿਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਵਾਂਗ ਭੜਕ ਕੇ ਕੌਰਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਨ ਲੱਗਾਂ—ਤਦ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਤਪੇਗਾ, ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਸੜੇਗਾ।
