यदा मन्द: परबाणान् विमुक्तान् ममेषुभिह्ठियमाणान् प्रतीपम् । तिर्यग्विध्याच्छिद्यमानान् पृषत्कै- स्तदा युद्ध धार्तराष्ट्रोडन्वतप्स्यत्
yadā mandaḥ parabāṇān vimuktān mameṣubhiḥ pratīpaṃ nivāryamāṇān | tiryag vidhyāc chidyamānān pṛṣatkaiḥ tadā yuddhe dhārtarāṣṭro ’nutapsyati ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਛੱਡੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਟਕਰਾ ਕੇ ਰੁਕਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਲਟੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਵੇਖੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤਿਰਛੇ ਵਿੱਧ ਕੇ ਕੱਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਟੁਕੜੇ-ਟੁਕੜੇ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਵੇਖੇਗਾ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਮੰਦਬੁੱਧੀ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੁੱਧ ਛੇੜਨ ਲਈ ਕੜਵੇ ਪਛਤਾਵੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
