प्रभद्रका: शीघ्रतरा युवानो विशारदा: सिंहसमानवीर्या: । यदा क्षेप्तारो धार्तराष्ट्रानू ससैन्यां- स्तदा युद्ध धार्तराष्ट्रोडन्वतप्स्यत्

prabhadrakāḥ śīghratarā yuvāno viśāradāḥ siṃhasamānavīryāḥ |
yadā kṣeptāro dhārtarāṣṭrān sa-sainyāṃs tadā yuddhe dhārtarāṣṭro 'nutapsyati ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਪ੍ਰਭਦ੍ਰਕ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ, ਕਰਤੱਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੇਜ਼, ਯੁੱਧ-ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਰਗੇ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮੀ—ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸੈਨਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਕ ਕੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਧੱਕ ਦੇਣਗੇ—ਤਦ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ ਪਛਤਾਵੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੜ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ: “ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਿਉਂ ਛੇੜਿਆ?”
