यदाभिमन्यु: परवीरघाती शरै: परान् मेघ इवाभिवर्षन् | विगाहिता कृष्णसम: कृतास्त्र- स्तदा युद्ध धार्तराष्ट्रोडन्वतप्स्यत्
sañjaya uvāca | yadābhimanyuḥ paravīraghātī śaraiḥ parān megha ivābhivarṣan | vigāhitaḥ kṛṣṇasamaḥ kṛtāstraḥ tadā yuddhe dhārtarāṣṭro 'dhyatapsyata ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰ-ਵੀਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਭਿਮਨ੍ਯੂ ਬੱਦਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁੱਸ ਪਵੇਗਾ—ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ-ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਪੁਣ—ਤਦ ਉਸ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ) ਅੰਦਰੋਂ-ਅੰਦਰ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਸੜ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ।
