कि वै सहैवं चरथो न पुरा चरथ: सह । विरोचनैतत् पृच्छामि कि ते सख्यं सुधन्वना,[फिर प्रकटरूपमें विरोचनसे कहा--] विरोचन! मैं तुमसे पूछता हूँ, क्या सुधन्वाके साथ तुम्हारी मित्रता हो गयी है? फिर कैसे एक साथ आ रहे हो? पहले तो तुम दोनों कभी एक साथ नहीं चलते थे
kiṁ vai sahaivaṁ caratho na purā carathaḥ saha | virocanaitat pṛcchāmi kiṁ te sakhyaṁ sudhanvanā ||
ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਤੁਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਸੀ। ਵਿਰੋਚਨ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹਾਂ—ਕੀ ਸੁਧਨਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ? ਜੇ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬਣੀ?
