Drupada’s Alarm and Inquiry Regarding Śikhaṇḍinī (द्रुपदस्य भय-विमर्शः)
उद्धरिष्यामि ते सद्यः: सामात्यसुतबान्धवम् | “राजन! वीरवर राजा हिरण्यवर्माने जो संदेश दिया है
uddhariṣyāmi te sadyaḥ sāmātya-suta-bāndhavam |
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹੀ—ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ, ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਕ-ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ—ਜੜ੍ਹੋਂ ਉਖਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ। ਰਾਜਨ! ਹਿਰਣ੍ਯਵਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੁਣ। ਪਾਪਾਚਾਰੀ, ਦੁਰਬੁੱਧੀ ਨਰੇਸ਼! ਤੇਰੀ ਧੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਠੱਗਿਆ ਹੈ; ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪਾਪ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ—ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਭੋਗ। ਨਰੇਸ਼ਵਰ! ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦੇ। ਮੈਂ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ, ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਂਧਵਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਕੁਲ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹੋਂ ਉਖਾੜ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।
