Bhīṣma’s Appointment as Commander-in-Chief
कृष्ण उवाच उक्तवानस्मि यद् वाक्यं धर्मार्थसहितं हितम् । नतु ततन्निकृतिप्रज्ञे कौरव्ये प्रतेतिष्ठति
kṛṣṇa uvāca | uktavān asmi yad vākyaṃ dharmārthasahitaṃ hitam | na tu tat nikṛtiprajñe kauravye prate tiṣṭhati ||
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਮੈਂ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਲ ਯੁਕਤ, ਹਿਤਕਾਰੀ ਹੈ; ਪਰ ਛਲ-ਕਪਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁਣ ਉਸ ਕੌਰਵ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
