कर्ण–कृष्णसंवादः (Karṇa–Kṛṣṇa-saṃvādaḥ) — Karṇa’s Statement on Lineage, Loyalty, and the ‘Śastra-yajña’ Metaphor
पितृपक्षे च ते पार्था मातृपक्षे च वृष्णय: । दौ पक्षावभिजानीहि त्वमेतौ पुरुषर्षभ
pitṛpakṣe ca te pārthā mātṛpakṣe ca vṛṣṇayaḥ | dvau pakṣāv abhijānīhi tvam etau puruṣarṣabha ||
ਵਾਯੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—“ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤ੍ਰ-ਪੱਖ ਵੱਲ ਪਾਰਥ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ-ਪੱਖ ਵੱਲ ਵ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣੀ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਪੁਰਖ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਮਝ।”
