Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 133 — A Mother’s Counsel to Saṃjaya
स्वर्गद्वारोपमं राज्यमथवाप्यमृतोपमम् | युद्धमेकायनं मत्वा पतोल्मुक इवारिषु
svargadvāropamaṃ rājyam athavāpy amṛtopamam | yuddham ekāyanaṃ matvā patolmuḳa ivāriṣu ||
ਯੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਗ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਉੱਤਮ ਗਤੀ—ਜਾਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਰਾਜ—ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਗ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ, ਸੜਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਦੀ ਮਸ਼ਾਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਟੁੱਟ ਪੈ।
