Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 133 — A Mother’s Counsel to Saṃjaya
अपारे भव न: पारमप्लवे भव न: प्लवः । कुरुष्व स्थानमस्थाने मृतान् संजीवयस्व न:
apāre bhava naḥ pāram aplave bhava naḥ plavaḥ | kuruṣva sthānam asthāne mṛtān saṃjīvayasva naḥ | ekaśatrūvadhenaiva śūro gacchati viśrutim |
ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੀਰ-ਰਹਿਤ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਾਰ ਬਣ; ਜਦੋਂ ਬੇੜੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੀ ਬੇੜੀ ਬਣ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਠਿਕਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉੱਥੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਠਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣਾ; ਅਤੇ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਠਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਕੋ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਧ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
