इमं हि पुण्डरीकाक्षमभिभूय प्रसहु च

Transliteration

imaṃ hi puṇḍarīkākṣam abhibhūya prasahu ca

Translation

ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਪੁੰਡਰੀਕਾਖ਼ਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬਲ-ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਦਬਾ ਕੇ—ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ—ਉਹ ਐਸਾ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ; ਇੱਥੇ ਧਰਮ-ਮਾਰਗ ਦੀ ਮਨਾਉਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਦਮਨਕਾਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਾ ਹਠ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
