Adhyāya 128 — Proposal to Restrain Keśava; Sātyaki’s Warning and Vidura–Dhṛtarāṣṭra Counsel
प्रयच्छ पाण्डुपुत्राणां यथोचितमरिंदम । यदीच्छसि सहामात्यो भोक्तुमर्ध प्रदीयताम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | prayaccha pāṇḍuputrāṇāṃ yathocitam ariṃdama | yadīcchasi sahāmātyo bhoktum ardhaṃ pradīyatām ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਸ਼ਤਰੂ-ਦਮਨ! ਪਾਂਡੂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਥੋਚਿਤ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਦੇ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਰਾਜ ਭੋਗਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਧਾ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
