Keśava-vākya aftermath
sa tvaṃ pāpamatim krūraṃ pāpacittam acetanaṃ | anuśādhi durātmānaṃ svayaṃ duryodhanaṃ nṛpam ||
A ruler (or those responsible for guiding him) must be corrected when he becomes cruel, morally corrupt, and lacking discernment; timely admonition is presented as a dharmic duty to prevent greater harm.
Vaiśampāyana reports an appeal urging someone in a position to influence events to personally restrain and counsel King Duryodhana, whose evil intentions and cruelty are driving the situation toward destructive conflict.
