नाहमेतत् करिष्यामि गच्छथ्वं वै सुरोत्तमा: । असिमिंश्षार्थे पुरा गीत॑ ब्रह्मणा श्रूयतामिदम्
nāham etat kariṣyāmi gacchathvaṃ vai surottamāḥ | asminn arthe purā gītaṃ brahmaṇā śrūyatām idam, viśeṣataḥ |
ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਹੇ ਦੇਵੋਤਮੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ। ਇਸੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼-ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਸੁਣੋ।
