Haryaśva’s Agreement with Gālava and the Birth of Vasumanā
Nārada’s narration
तत् तु दास्यामि यत् कार्यमिदं सम्पादयिष्यति । अभिगम्य हताशो हि निवृत्तो दहते कुलम्
tat tu dāsyāmi yat kāryam idaṁ sampādayiṣyati | abhigamya hatāśo hi nivṛtto dahate kulam ||
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਐਸੀ ਵਸਤੂ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਸਿੱਧ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਯਾਚਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਆਸ ਤੋੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੁਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
