Suparṇa–Gālava Saṃvāda
अत्र देवीं दितिं सुप्तामात्मप्रसवधारिणीम् । विगर्भामकरोच्छक्रो यत्र जातो मरुद्गण:
atra devīṃ ditiṃ suptām ātma-prasava-dhāriṇīm | vigarbhām akaroc chakro yatra jāto marud-gaṇaḥ ||
ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਰ (ਇੰਦਰ) ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ-ਬੀਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਭ੍ਰੂਣ ਦਾ ਛੇਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਰਭਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ; ਉਸੇ ਕਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਮਰੁਦ-ਗਣ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋਏ।
