अधीत्य सकलान् वेदाल्लेभिरे मोक्षमक्षयम् । इसी दिशामें “शिव” नामसे प्रसिद्ध कुछ सिद्ध ब्राह्मण रहते थे
adhītya sakalān vedān lebhire mokṣam akṣayam |
ਸਾਰੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਖੰਡ (ਅਕਸ਼ਯ) ਮੋਖ਼ਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ “ਸ਼ਿਵ” ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਕੁਝ ਸਿੱਧ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ—ਵੇਦ-ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰੰਗਤ। ਪੂਰਨ ਵੇਦਾਧਿਐਨ ਤੱਤਵ-ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਿਣਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਅਵਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਮੋਖ਼ਸ਼-ਪਦ ਨੂੰ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ।
