समीपमेत्य च यदा सर्व एव महौजस: । त॑ तेजसा प्रज्वलितं प्रतपन्तं दिशो दश
samīpam etya ca yadā sarva eva mahaujasaḥ | taṁ tejasā prajvalitaṁ pratapantaṁ diśo daśa ||
ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਹਾਬਲੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵ੍ਰਿਤ੍ਰਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੇਜ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਜਵਲਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
