Yuddha-yajña-vyākhyāna (The Battle as Sacrifice): Ambarīṣa–Indra Saṃvāda
दीपिचर्मावनद्धश्न नागदन्तकृतत्सरु: । हस्तिहस्तहर: खड्ग: स्फ्यो भवेत् तस्य संयुगे
dīpicarmāvanaddhaś ca nāgadantakṛtatsaruḥ | hastihastaharaḥ khaḍgaḥ sphyo bhavet tasya saṃyuge ||
ਅੰਬਰੀਸ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਚਿਤੇ ਦੇ ਚਮੜੇ ਦੀ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀ, ਹਾਥੀ-ਦੰਦ ਦੀ ਮੂਠ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਤੇ ਗਜਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਡ ਤੱਕ ਕੱਟ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੋ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ—ਉਹੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਸਫ੍ਯ (ਰੱਖਿਆ-ਉਪਕਰਣ) ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
