Rules for Dharmic Victory in Kṣatriya Engagement
इषुर्लिप्तो न कर्णी स्यादसतामेतदायुधम् । यथार्थमेव योद्धव्यं न क्रुद्धयेत जिघांसत:
iṣur lipto na karṇī syād asatām etad āyudham | yathārtham eva yoddhavyaṃ na kruddhyet jighāṃsataḥ ||
ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ ਲਪੇਟੇ ਤੀਰ ਜਾਂ ਕਾਂਟੇਦਾਰ (ਕਰਣੀ) ਤੀਰ ਵਰਤਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ; ਇਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਹਨ। ਯੁੱਧ ਸੱਚੀ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਟ ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਮਾਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਤਪਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
