Treasury Security, Protection of Informants, and the Kalakavṛkṣīya Exemplum (Śānti Parva 83)
हित॑ तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा कौसल्यो5प्यजयन्महीम् । तथा च कृतवान् राजा यथोक्त तेन भारत
hitaṃ tad-vacanaṃ śrutvā kausalyo 'py ajayan mahīm | tathā ca kṛtavān rājā yathoktaṃ tena bhārata ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਉਹ ਹਿਤਕਾਰੀ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕੋਸਲ-ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ, ਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ, ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਓਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
