यादवा: कुकुरा भोजा: सर्वे चान्धकवृष्णय: । त्वय्यासक्ता महाबाहो लोका लोकेश्षुराक्ष ये
yādavāḥ kukurā bhojāḥ sarve cāndhakavṛṣṇayaḥ | tvayy āsaktā mahābāho lokā lokeśvarāś ca ye ||
ਹੇ ਮਹਾਬਾਹੋ! ਯਾਦਵ, ਕੁਕੁਰ, ਭੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅੰਧਕ ਤੇ ਵ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣੀ—ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਤੇ ਲੋਕ-ਈਸ਼ਵਰ (ਰਾਜੇ) ਹਨ—ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਨੁਰਾਗ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights how moral and political cohesion often forms around a central, admired figure: devotion and attachment (āsakti) can unify clans and even rulers, shaping collective action and responsibility within dharma.
Nārada addresses a ‘mighty-armed’ hero and notes that the Yādava-related clans—Yādavas, Kukuras, Bhojas, Andhakas, and Vṛṣṇis—along with other peoples and even world-rulers, are attached and aligned with him, emphasizing his influence and following.
