दर्शयन्नैन्द्रिरात्मानमुग्रमुग्रपराक्रम: । स्मयमानो महातेजा: सृक्किणी परिसंलिहन्
darśayann aindrir ātmānam ugram ugra-parākramaḥ | smayamāno mahātejāḥ sṛkkīṇī pari-saṃlihan ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਹੇ ਜਨਮੇਜਯ! ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਦੇ ਐਸਾ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੇ ਇੰਦਰਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਰਜੁਨ, ਜੋ ਉਗ੍ਰ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਸੀ, ਪਰੋਖੇ ਆਖੇਪ ਨਾਲ ਖਿਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਾਪਿਆ। ਉਹ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਇਆ, ਆਪਣਾ ਤਿੱਖਾ ਆਤਮ-ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਠਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਨੇ ਚਾਟਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਮੰਚ ਦੇ ਅਭਿਨੇਤਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਰਵ ਭਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗਾ।
