Varṇa, Sovereignty, and Abhaya-dāna
श्रेयो नयति राजान ब्रुवंश्चित्रां सरस्वतीम् । राजा चरति यद् धर्म ब्राह्मणेन निदर्शितम्
aila uvāca | śreyo nayati rājānaṁ bruvaṁś citrāṁ sarasvatīm | rājā carati yad dharmaṁ brāhmaṇena nidarśitam |
ਉਹ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਯ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਨਿਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਰਾਜਾ ਉਸੇ ਧਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
