Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
महादण्डश्न तस्य स्याद् यस्यान्निर्वे दिवा भवेत् । प्रघोषयेदथैवं च रक्षणार्थ पुरस्य च,नगरकी रक्षाके लिये यह घोषणा करा दे कि “जिसके यहाँ दिनमें आग जलायी जाती होगी उसे बड़ा भारी दण्ड दिया जायगा”
mahādaṇḍaś ca tasya syād yasyānnirve divā bhavet | praghoṣayed athaivaṃ ca rakṣaṇārthaṃ purasya ca ||
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਅੱਗ ਜਲਦੀ ਮਿਲੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਠੋਰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਭ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
