Adhyāya 5 (Śānti-parva): Nārada’s account of Karṇa—Jarāsandha encounter and the causal grounds of Karṇa’s fall
तयो: समभवद् युद्ध दिव्यास्त्रविदुषोर्द्रयो: । युधि नानाप्रहरणैरन्योन्यमभिवर्षतो:
tayoḥ samabhavad yuddhaṃ divyāstraviduṣor dvayoḥ | yudhi nānāpraharanair anyonyam abhivarṣatoḥ ||
ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਨ। ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਯੁੱਧ ਛਿੜ ਗਿਆ। ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ-ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
