तं स तेन यथोद्दिष्टं नागं विप्रेण ब्राह्मण: । पर्यपृच्छद्‌ यथान्यायं श्रुत्वैव च जगाम स:

Transliteration

taṃ sa tena yathoddiṣṭaṃ nāgaṃ vipreṇa brāhmaṇaḥ | paryapṛcchad yathānyāyaṃ śrutvaiva ca jagāma saḥ ||

Translation

ਉਸ ਮੁਨੀ ਕੋਲ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੱਸੇ ਗਏ ਉਸ ਨਾਗ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਿਯਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੁਨੀ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਉਹ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦਾ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।
