naiva tasyāparo loko nāyaṃ pārthivasattama

Translation

ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਉਸ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਉੱਚੀ ਗਤੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ-ਕਲਿਆਣ।
