न किंचिदपि पश्यामो हतचक्षुर्बलेन्द्रिया: । “भगवान्के उस अनिर्वचनीय तेजने हमारे चित्तको सहसा खींच लिया था; परंतु हमारे नेत्र
na kiñcid api paśyāmo hata-cakṣur balendriyāḥ |
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਸਕੇ। ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਝਟਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ; ਸਾਡਾ ਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਦਬ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਅਕਥ ਤੇਜ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਓਰ ਖਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ; ਪਰ ਅੱਖਾਂ, ਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਹਤ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਸਕੇ।
