नारद उवाच यदर्थमात्रप्रभवेण जन्म कृतं॑ त्वया धर्मगृहे चतुर्धा । तत्‌ साध्यतां लोकहितार्थमद्य गच्छामि द्र॒ष्ठ प्रकृतिं तवाद्याम्‌

Transliteration

nārada uvāca | yad-artha-mātra-prabhaveṇa janma kṛtaṁ tvayā dharma-gṛhe caturdhā | tat sādhyatāṁ loka-hitārtham adya gacchāmi draṣṭuṁ prakṛtiṁ tavādyām |

Translation

ਨਾਰਦ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੋ। ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਰ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਅੱਜ ਲੋਕ-ਹਿਤ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਵੇ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਵੇਤਦ੍ਵੀਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਦਿ-ਸਰੂਪ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
