Yajña-bhāga-vyavasthā and the Pravṛtti–Nivṛtti Framework (यज्ञभागव्यवस्था तथा प्रवृत्तिनिवृत्तिधर्मविवेचनम्)
चित्रवर्णमयूरैश्व केकाशतविराजितै: । राजहंससमूहैश्च॒ कृष्ण: परभृतैस्तथा
citravarṇamayūraiś ca kekaśatavirājitaiḥ | rājahaṃsasamūhaiś ca kṛṣṇaiḥ parabhṛtaiḥ tathā ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਉਹ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੇਕ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੋਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਕੂਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਸੀ। ਰਾਜਹੰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਕੋਇਲ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਵਧਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਚਾਰੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ, ਮਿੱਠੀ ਧੁਨ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਸਰਾਵਾਂ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ—ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਗਲਮਈ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਰਾਜ ਹੋਵੇ।
