Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)
सातिसूक्ष्मां कथां श्रुत्वा तथ्यं नेति ससंशया । दर्शने जातसंकल्पा जनकस्य बभूव ह
sātisūkṣmāṁ kathāṁ śrutvā tathyaṁ neti saṁśayā | darśane jāta-saṅkalpā janakasya babhūva ha ||
ਅਤਿ-ਸੂਖਮ ਪਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਵਿਸ਼ਯਕ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਸੁਲਭਾ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਉਠਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਨਕ ਬਾਰੇ ਜੋ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ; ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਅਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤਤਾ ਜਾਗਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਨਕ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
