Utkramaṇa-sthāna and Ariṣṭa-lakṣaṇa: Yājñavalkya’s Instruction on Departure Pathways and Mortality Signs
ग्रन्थस्यार्थस्य पृष्ट: संस्तादृशो वक्तुमर्हति । यथा तत्त्वाभिगमनादर्थ तस्य स विन्दति
granthasyārthasya pṛṣṭaḥ saṃstādṛśo vaktum arhati | yathā tattvābhigamanād arthaṃ tasya sa vindati
ਵਸਿਸ਼ਠ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਦੋਂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਯੋਗ ਆਚਾਰਯ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੱਤਵ ਤੱਕ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਅਰਥ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
