Saṃhāra-krama (The Sequence of Cosmic Dissolution) — Yājñavalkya’s Discourse

लोभजानि तथा राजन्‌ बन्धनानि बलान्विता: । छित्त्वा योगा: परं मार्ग गच्छन्ति विमलं शिवम्‌

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | lobhajāni tathā rājan bandhanāni balānvitāḥ | chittvā yogāḥ paraṃ mārgaṃ gacchanti vimalaṃ śivam ||

Translation

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਮਿਰਗ ਜਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਯੋਗ-ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਯੋਗੀ ਲੋਭ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮੇ ਸਭ ਬੰਧਨ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਪਰਮ ਮਾਰਗ—ਨਿਰਮਲ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਮਯ—ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
