This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it signals the completion of a Mokṣa-dharma teaching episode framed as a dialogue between Samaḍ and the sage Nārada, situating the instruction within the Śānti Parvan’s ethical and liberation-focused discourse.
The text is closing the chapter: it formally announces that the Samaḍ–Nārada conversation has concluded and identifies the location of this material within the Mahābhārata’s Śānti Parvan, Mokṣa-dharma section, as chapter 286.
