Ethical Restraint, Mortality, and Karma

/ भीकम (2 अमान षडशीर्त्याधिकद्विशततमो< ध्याय: समड़के द्वारा नारदजीसे अपनी शोकहीन स्थितिका वर्णन युधिछिर उवाच शोकाद्‌ दुःखाच्च मृत्योश्च त्रसन्ते प्राणिन: सदा । उभयं नो यथा न स्यात्‌ तन्मे ब्रूहि पितामह

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | śokād duḥkhāc ca mṛtyoś ca trasante prāṇinaḥ sadā | ubhayaṃ no yathā na syāt tan me brūhi pitāmaha ||

ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਪਿਤਾਮਹ! ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਦਾ ਸ਼ੋਕ, ਦੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿਓ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਭਯ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੁੜ ਨਾ ਉੱਠਣ।
