भीष्म उवाच सर्वज्ञानं परं बुद्ध्या यन्मां त्वमनुपृच्छसि । तद्‌ व्याख्यास्यामि ते तात तस्य व्याख्यामिमां शृणु

bhīṣma uvāca sarvajñānaṃ paraṃ buddhyā yan māṃ tvam anupṛcchasi | tad vyākhyāsyāmi te tāta tasya vyākhyām imāṃ śṛṇu ||

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਤਾਤ! ਤੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਅਧਿਆਤਮ-ਤੱਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਭ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ; ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ।
